People often make prompting sound mysterious, when really you just need to understand how AI works.
A generative AI can do one thing: predict the next word (or the next pixel). Based on enormous amounts of data, it does this very well, across virtually any topic. But that's also the problem: the AI doesn't know which part of all that knowledge is relevant to your question.
A good prompt solves this. By providing specific context, you narrow the AI. From a broad model that can do anything, to a focused model that knows what you need. It’s that simple: specific context + a clear question = a better answer.
